Hello ladies and gentlemen for English speakers, Amjambo for Swahili speakers , bonjour for French speakers, as well as mbote for lingala speakers.
It is a bit joy for me to know that You are so many to log this web space today.
I am Clement KYANGA, a 21 old man from Congo in the central part of Africa (my country can be compared to the heart of African continent according to its location within it). I live in the city of Bukavu; it is located at the very extreme East point of my country. I have lived here for 12 years after a cycle of traveling that led my family successively in the province of Maniema (I was even born there during these travelings...), in the capital Kinshasa, in the province of North Kivu,... since there, i started cultivating within myself a passion for cultural intercourse and communications.
I am very interested at making friendship as well as at discovering others cultures. How they live, what they like,... Clement who is speaking to you today is a student. I am able to speak 4 languages useful for each habitant of Congo: English, Swahili, French, Lingala. I am a well integrated man within this society of Bukavu habitant.
Since a given time, an idea came to me to make foreign people discover my country and my city especially. That is why lets get first this link through which you who is logging here can discover the city of Bukavu on line: www.bukavuonline.com
It's necessary to know that this city is located in a mountainous region and that there is no winter or summer seasons here. We have just 2 seasons: the rainy season(from September 1th up to June 21th ) and the hot one (since June 21th up to September 1rst). I think these details are important for those who would like to come and visit Bukavu one day... welcome because; people from here are so kind. Guys as well as ladies.
People from Bukavu often speak two common languages; French for educated people and Swahili for common people.
It is paradoxical to hear that here people are living in the extreme poverty though they are rich by the wonderful gift of nature that they have all around them. But something that delights me very much is that some of them are fighting very much to get out from this poverty even though there still remain many things to do.
I can not end by telling you only about Bukavu, but I will post another topic about richnesses from Congo next time if you send me some reactions and tell me what are your expectancies from some one like me who decides to make others people know something about this so a wonderful country, DRCongo . It is very important to know that this country has a spectacular mining resource.
Anyway, enjoy yourself while discovering what Clement Kyanga has posted for the world youth, the hope for tomorrow!
Clement KYANGA.
